BeforeYouClick review of GitHub

GitHub to us seems a reliable website. The github.io domain uses an SSL certificate to guarantee a encrypted connection, and as such offering at least some level of privacy. This site has been around for almost 6 years now. Being around for this long, the site can be expected to be mature and safer than average. This is not a very popular site worldwide and probably does not have a very large budget for security matters. GitHub is active on social media. We only know of a Twitter account (@github) for this site. Its account has been verified by Twitter. GitHub has contributed to Twitter substantially, over time.
